Sempai Naveh Kraus, Meiji Martial Arts Instructor

Sempai Naveh Kraus

I started practising martial arts when I was 6 because a teacher told me I was too fidgety and couldn't stay still for other sports. I quickly fell in love with Taekwondo - it enabled me to be myself and prove my worth. When I was 9, I became the youngest black belt in my Federation, and have been competing nationally and internationally with the English Squad since. I won the European championship at 13, and have over 50 national and international medals and trophies.

I have had the privilege of Sensei Denise Bailey’s mentoring for more than 5 years, initially to improve my sparring. However, since day one Meiji has given me so much more. Sensei Denise and the other Senseis have helped me develop and mature my skills on and off the mat. They have given me the space to satisfy and exploit my abundant energy while welcoming me into a family that I love so dearly. I live for teaching, training and progressing every class I am part of.
