Krav Maga

Master Mark Roberts in a demonstration

Krav Maga

Krav Maga takes no prisoners, and there is a simple maxim: minimum time, maximum damage. In other words, learn how to finish an attack (including knife attacks!) almost before it occurs. It is aggressive, very fast, and uses grappling techniques as well as psychology to distract and disarm, while delivering a devastating conclusion for your opponent.

Krav Maga teaches you simple, instinctive movements and techniques that are easy to learn and execute under stress.

Krav Maga is the ultimate self-defence martial art, focused on real-life scenarios. It is derived from a combination of techniques used in aikido, boxing, judo, karate, and wrestling.

Master Mark Roberts

Meiji Krav Maga

Mark Roberts leads on teaching the Meiji instructors the combat art of Krav Maga. Mark has been training in martial arts for 35 years and teaching for 25 years.

Krav Maga is relatively new, and is becoming increasingly popular with both men and women as a very simple but effective martial art.

Mark is a full time Master Instructor in two different Krav Maga systems, and a black belt in five martial arts. One of the leading instructors in the field, Mark is now working with the Meiji instructors to pass on some of his extensive knowledge and skills.

"Krav Maga is not really about medals or points or trophies, it is a very pure and no- nonsense martial art with techniques which empower people.

"It is about learning strategies to protect yourself - it takes from lots of different martial arts but is very stripped back and simple in its approach"
