A group of Jiu-Jitsu young students with Coach Abel

Children

We specialise in working with young people. Once they trust you, they’re more receptive to learning respect, self-respect and self-confidence than other age groups more set in their ways. They have a Champions Programme specially designed for them, and the tailored classes give many of them skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Four Generations same Journey

Meiji Mighty Children’s Programme

Our Meiji Mighty Children’s Programme is to motivate every child and to give them the belief and confidence that they can achieve anything they put their minds to.

Our Martial Arts Instructors teach the children life lessons and skills that will help them in the real world. This is done through the children learning how to defend themselves from bullies, and how to introduce themselves politely to adults. It helps them improve their demeanour, and the ways they tackle obstacles and challenges.

Feedback – what our clients think of us:

5 out of 5 stars

"It’s excellent for all ages. My daughter is 6 years old and has been attending kickboxing for 2 years and has loved all the sessions. The trainers are all fun, approachable and fantastic with the younger children which has made the routine easy. Well worth starting as it instils respect, routine, discipline as well as clear goals for them to reach."

Jiu-Jitsu Children’s Programme

“Jiu-Jitsu is a non-aggressive set of techniques which remove fear. Very quickly, children come to realise they can deal with a situation without apprehension. They learn how to turn a disadvantage into a dominant one, while having fun. This builds confidence, bonhomie and camaraderie.

It may surprise you to know that I don’t publish a syllabus. But there is a positive reason for this. I regard each child as an individual. Consequently, with Jiu-Jitsu, it’s important that each has a syllabus of their own. In other words, I adjust my teaching to ensure that every student develops at their own, unique pace. This is complemented by a wide range of belts and belt-stripes, ensuring that every individual can regularly mark a new achievement.”
